DCTH at South by Southwest

DCTH is a group started by @chadengle for the design community. A Tweet New Home Page

There’s been quite a bit of buzz about Twitter’s home page. There’s loads of new dynamic content; you’ll see trending topics, ‘randomly’ highlighted Twitter users (yeah, right), and then even some top tweets. So what’s the point? It’s all about retention. (more…)

Ignore Your Follower Count on Twitter

Stop right now. Don’t even look at your follower count on Twitter for another month, at least. For some of you this might be a challenge, so let’s go ahead and make it into one. I’m willing to bet that if you ignore how many people follow you and instead focus on interacting with the ones who do, you’ll have a much more effective presence on Twitter, which will turn into lots of things for you down the road (networking, referrals, leads, and yes, even actual sales). Three Reasons To Go Back To South by Southwest

Even while at SXSW I was noticing posts on Twitter from people saying they’d never come back, or what a waste of money it is, etc. Since returning, I’ve noticed blog posts pop up where the author lists a bunch of tips and then bluntly states that they won’t go back.
